Arisant has an immediate opening an experienced enterprise architect to provide direction and hands on implementation duties for a large infrastructure Migration project. Your skills and advice will be of the utmost importance both in this immediate and long-term project.
The primary role of the Enterprise Architect is to ensure that the respective business, application, data and technology project efforts and plans meet the organization’s technology and governance strategies, policies and standards. They will be responsible for the creation, maintenance and management of IT architecture models and their lower level components. They will be required to interpret, use and apply information contained within the IT architecture to guide and advise system migration activities, including the design, development, enhancement and maintenance of IT support systems in relation to the new infrastructure platform.  They are expected to ensure that the overall customer architecture is documented and maintainable and that appropriate considerations are made for its security, operational quality, and cost.
Job Responsibilities
  • Recommends and participates in activities related to the design, development and maintenance of the Enterprise Architecture (EA).
  • Advises and recommends enterprise architecture strategies, processes and methodologies.
  • Recommends and participates in the analysis, evaluation and development of enterprise long- term strategic and operating plans to ensure that the EA objectives are consistent with the enterprise’s long-term business objectives
  • Shares best practices, lessons learned and constantly updates the technical system architecture requirements based on changing technologies, and knowledge related to recent, current and up- coming vendor products and solutions.
  • Participates in and manages Architecture Working Groups for the development and maintenance of the EA.
  • Collaborates with all relevant parties in order to review the objectives and constraints of each solution and determine conformance with the EA. Recommends the most suitable technical architecture and defines the solution at a high level.
  • Recommends and participates in the development of architecture blueprints in-scope systems.
  • Review and assess corporate goals, strategies and assets along with everyday processes and procedures and compare those to available information technology resources.
  • Coordinate with IT director and other technical managers to oversee the strategic development of internal network.
  • Work with network architects and developers to outline operational and product enhancements bolster security tools and protocols to prevent unauthorized access to business-critical data
  • Implement the recommended architectures
    • Networking, application tiers, middleware tier, and database
  • Educate employees, data technicians and department managers on new changes to infrastructure and policies, with an emphasis placed on recognizing the need for such updates
  • Share review findings and recommendations to executives and stakeholders, along with reports showing the progress in implementing new strategies
Job Skills and Qualifications
Required:
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, systems management, accounting or business management from accredited four-year academic institution
  • Demonstrated experience with cloud architecture implementation, operations, and migration experience (Oracle, Microsoft, AWS, or Google)
  • Four years of previous experience in corporate planning or strategic development and hands on implementation experience.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience in IT network design, operations, systems engineering, DevOps, implementation and governance (e.g. ITIL).
  • Experience with middleware, SOA, physical hardware, virtualized machines, engineered systems and analytics
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work within all levels within an organization and must possess strong technical skills.
  • Ability to work on-site at our corporate offices in Englewood, CO approximately 25% of the time.
  • Reside in Colorado Springs or ability to travel to Colorado Springs up to 75% as required by the project.  (Candidate will be reimbursed for mileage to/from Colorado Springs if they reside in South Metro area.)
Preferred:
  • Master’s degree in either business administration or computer technology
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills
  • Certifications in Oracle Microsoft, Java, and Linux
  • Experience as technical lead for large technology implementations
  • Strong background in Oracle technologies providing architecture support for a middleware and SOA environment along with Oracle and non-Oracle databases
